Every side of the table.
TrueQoE was built by Mark Hirsch, whose twenty-five-plus-year career spans financial publishing and lower middle market M&A. He was a partner in a firm that built and marketed data and information products for investors, growing it past $10M in annual recurring revenue before it was acquired — and has executed acquisitions inside a PE-backed roll-up, prepared owners for sale, and advised buyers through diligence.
Across the deal work, one pattern kept repeating. Deals rarely failed because the economics didn't work. They failed because the reasoning behind the numbers couldn't be shown — the marketing package and the underlying records telling two different stories, with nobody able to say which one was true until the deal was already in trouble.
That observation became TrueQoE.
The work shouldn't start after the Letter of Intent.
Seeing the same issues surface deal after deal made one thing clear: the discovery always happens — the only variable is when, and what it costs by then.
Buyers, sellers, brokers, and their advisors all do better when the evidence is organized before negotiations begin. But doing that work by hand, deal by deal, doesn't scale past one advisor's calendar. TrueQoE was built to make it repeatable — the same questions, the same discipline, the same evidence standard, applied to every file.
The platform documents. People decide.
TrueQoE is built on one principle: the platform never substitutes its judgment for yours.
It extracts what the documents say. It runs the math in code — the same inputs produce identical results, every time. It shows what's supported, what's contested, and what's missing. And when the evidence can't answer a question, it says so, instead of guessing.
Findings that work against the analysis appear right alongside the ones that support it. Uncertainty stays visible. Judgment stays with the people who own the decision — the buyer, the seller, and the professionals they trust.
That's by design. It's the reason the output can be trusted.
From the deals themselves.
From someone who sold a company:
“When I first mentioned we were interested in possibly selling our company after 32 years, he immediately gave me checklists and insights on how to best position our company for maximum value — what questions to ask, how to prepare for due diligence, how to put our best foot forward.”
From someone who acquired one:
“He was great at keeping all parties focused on the key dynamics and bringing clarity to decisions that can otherwise feel complex or uncertain. He brings both strategic perspective and a grounded, execution-oriented mindset.”
Both are speaking about advisory engagements — the deal judgment TrueQoE was built to systematize.
Strategic Lever LLC is the advisory firm behind TrueQoE — corporate development and M&A advisory for the lower middle market, based in Delray Beach, Florida.
